Alloy wheel powder coating is a hard wearing coating for alloy wheels. It’s sprayed on like traditional paint, but in powder form and then electrically charged and heated.
If your wheels have tyres on, these will be removed along with the valves and refitted once complete.
Your alloy wheels are firstly acid stripped back to the bare metal, all kerb rashes or damage is removed by hand, leaving a smooth and blemish free blank canvas to apply the powder coat. The wheels are then put into an oven to remove the air and heated up so that the powder will bond wheels. Once powder is applied, they are put back into the oven to allow the it to flow and form a hard wearing coating, which is baked on and sealed with a tough lacquer.
Once cooled, tyres and valves are re-fitted, wheels balanced and put back on the car or delivered back to you.
